高職高專教育培養(yǎng)的是技術(shù)應(yīng)用型人才,學校為了培養(yǎng)我們學生的創(chuàng)新精神和實踐能力,提高我們的綜合素質(zhì)。故進行為期一周的實訓,在實訓中互相學習和進步。在校期間,一直忙于理論知識的學習,沒能有機會走出校園,真正切身感受本專業(yè)的實際應(yīng)用。-

一.實訓目的:了解英語在社會和實際工作中的應(yīng)用,豐富已經(jīng)學過的專業(yè)課內(nèi)容,培養(yǎng)學生理論聯(lián)系實際的能力,提高在語言應(yīng)用中分析及解決問題的實際能力,了解專業(yè)知識并掌握這些知識。-

二、實訓要求-

1、實訓期間,嚴格遵守作息時間,請假須經(jīng)指導老師批準。-

三、實訓內(nèi)容-

(一)模擬招聘會-

1、在看完有關(guān)招聘視頻后,進行招聘模擬。在面試過程中,面對考官的各種提問,一些關(guān)于專業(yè)的知識時,覺得自己的硬件掌握不到位。有時會有一些考驗自己反應(yīng)程度、靈敏度的問題,這時要靠自己平時積累的素養(yǎng)。自己的簡歷及面試表現(xiàn)給自己提出了很多可實施性建議,如,簡歷的排版、內(nèi)容,自己的性格缺點、較好的職業(yè)傾向等等。-

2.熊老師給我們講解了有關(guān)招聘方面的知識。步入社會時才能從容不迫,在求職者中脫穎而出!面對競聘的滾滾硝煙和層出不窮的招聘方式,要想笑傲職場,就要未雨綢繆、贏在起點。-

(二)商務(wù)禮儀-

1、在聽完Erick的講述,我們了解了商務(wù)活動禮儀,規(guī)范樹立企業(yè)良好形象塑造員工職業(yè)素質(zhì)(觀念、態(tài)度、能力)運用有效的溝通技巧處理商務(wù)活動中的人際關(guān)系改善服務(wù)形象提高服務(wù)能力,掌握基本的商務(wù)禮儀及正確的商務(wù)禮儀技職業(yè)形象決定職業(yè)生涯,職業(yè)形象決定人生命運。隨著人們?nèi)粘=浑H的頻繁,在商務(wù)活動、公務(wù)活動、社交活動中越來越重視交往的細節(jié),也許一個微小的細節(jié)決定了一個人的第一印象。如何提高自己在別人心目中的地位,如何通過你完美的職業(yè)形象使你擁有成功的事業(yè)和幸福的人生。了解掌握商務(wù)禮儀是非常重要的。-

2.Erick與我們進行互動游戲,角色扮演,在生活中不同的位置,樹立正確的職業(yè)意識,塑造完美的職業(yè)形象,在提高個人職業(yè)形象的基礎(chǔ)上完善公司的商務(wù)形象。掌握并正確運用職場常用禮儀,糾正不良習慣;掌握商務(wù)溝通中的行為禮儀。-

(三)國際貿(mào)易流模擬-

1、在這次實訓中我們要做以下幾個外貿(mào)方面的單證:合同.裝箱單.發(fā)票.保險單.還盤等。-

2、在做進出口業(yè)務(wù)時這幾種外貿(mào)單證是最常見的,也是必不可少的。交易雙方往往都要以這些單證來確定交易的事宜。雖然說這幾個單證的制作不是很復雜,但是通過在實訓時,你可以發(fā)現(xiàn)這些對人的專業(yè)和辦事的仔細程度是有很大的要求的。-

3、在這整個實訓過程中我們制作和填寫了商業(yè)發(fā)票,裝箱單以及合同,合同中的條款和內(nèi)容必需是一致的,為了防止錯列.漏列等問題。在填寫這些時要特別細心,注意日期是否正確。在做單時是不允許有任何差錯的。從本次實訓的整個過程中,我看到了,也深深體會到了做進出口業(yè)務(wù)的嚴謹。這次實訓大大加強了實際操作能力,加強了走向社會,了解各行各業(yè)的發(fā)展狀況,了解本行業(yè)的發(fā)展方向。鼓勵學生為社會企業(yè)服務(wù),煅煉并提高學生的實際能力。根據(jù)商務(wù)英語這個專業(yè)的特點,采用各種方式,向?qū)W生們介紹世界及國內(nèi)外貿(mào)市場的發(fā)展狀況,介紹外貿(mào)企業(yè)在市場中競爭而發(fā)展的經(jīng)驗。使學生們在步入社會之前就了解社會,知道競爭之激烈,創(chuàng)業(yè)之艱辛,從而進一步提高在校期間學習的自主性。-

4、在模擬中對不同的業(yè)務(wù)和角色我們采用不同的貿(mào)易術(shù)語和方式,我們可以掌握不同價格術(shù)語在海運、保險方面的差異。在詢盤、發(fā)盤、還盤、接受環(huán)節(jié)的磋商過程中,靈活運用價格術(shù)語和結(jié)算方式,正確核算成本、費用和利潤,以爭取較好的成交價格,是我們在未來貿(mào)易實務(wù)中必不可少的基本功。通過本次實訓,我們可以發(fā)現(xiàn)以前學習中的薄弱環(huán)節(jié),為今后的學習指明了方向。模擬訓練要求操作細節(jié)的細膩及流程的縝密,各個流程相互銜接,此流程的疏忽將會導致流程無法完成,某一細節(jié)的不慎錯誤或紕漏將會導致整個流程操作前功盡棄,這為未來的實際工作敲響了警鐘:做貿(mào)易一定要仔細謹慎。-

5、出口商是最為重要的角色,在扮演出口商的角色的過程中,經(jīng)過準備、磋商、簽約、履約、善后幾個流程。準備階段,及時了解市場行情,并同工廠和進口商建立廣泛而牢固的業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系是非常重要的。磋商階段,根據(jù)成本、稅的情況準確計算成本和報價,是至關(guān)重要的,通過詢盤、發(fā)盤、還盤、接受四個環(huán)節(jié),就交易條件達成一致,更是體現(xiàn)我們業(yè)務(wù)能力的地方。在交易過程中市場是變化的,作為出口商需不斷核算成本、費用和利潤,才能獲取最佳交易條件和價格。進口商的利潤來自于對產(chǎn)品的銷售,及時掌握市場信息,尋找交易產(chǎn)品和對象,同進口商建立業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系,為進口做好準備至關(guān)重要。進口商及時了解市場信息,及時查詢產(chǎn)品銷售價格,不斷核算成本、費用和利潤,同時選擇合適的交易方式簽訂合約關(guān)系到進口商的利益。-

6.國際貨運風險和保險,應(yīng)該如何降低風險和減少損失。進口商要在市場上及時將貨物銷售出去,方可實現(xiàn)利潤最大化。出口地銀行和進口地銀行從事的業(yè)務(wù)主要是信用證業(yè)務(wù)、單證業(yè)務(wù)、貸款業(yè)務(wù),一筆國際業(yè)務(wù)的順利完成是離不開銀行的,尤其是以信用證結(jié)匯的貿(mào)易,有了銀行的信用擔保可以確保進出口方的利益的順利實現(xiàn)。-

(四)商務(wù)英語翻譯:在徐老師的幫助下,針對具體翻譯過程,了解其從開始到結(jié)束的每一環(huán)節(jié),學生應(yīng)注重了解掌握那些教材以外的實踐經(jīng)驗和實際翻譯技巧。使用增譯法、省譯法、轉(zhuǎn)換法、拆句法、合并法、正譯法、反譯法、倒置法、包孕法、插入法、重組法和綜合法等翻譯技巧.讓我能夠在如此短的時間內(nèi)思想和能力上得到了如此大的提高。-

四、實訓總結(jié):“紙上得來終覺淺,絕知此事要躬行!”在一周的實訓過程中,我深深的感覺到自己在實際運用中的專業(yè)知識的匱乏。剛開始的時侯,對一些項目感到無從下手,茫然不知所措,這讓我感到非常的難過。但經(jīng)過一周的實訓,已經(jīng)有很大的提高!扒Ю镏,始于足下”,這是一個短暫而又充實的實訓。我認為對我走向社會起到了一個橋梁的作用,過渡的作用,是人生的一段重要的經(jīng)歷,也是一個重要步驟,對將來走上工作崗位也有著很大幫助。突然想起魯迅先生的一句話:這里本來沒有路,只是走的人多了,也便成了路。

在商務(wù)活動中,交換名片是一項很流行,也很重要的活動。在對外交流中,將自己的名片印上英文是很有必要的。這就要求名片上的英文寫法要規(guī)范,順序符合英語規(guī)則。

一般的名片上的信息可分為七個部分:

(1)關(guān)于地名的寫法,一般遵循從小地名到大地名的寫法。一般順序為:室號門牌號街道名城市名省(洲)--國家

(2)地址在名片上,應(yīng)該保持一定的完整性。門牌號與街道名不可分開寫,必須在同一行,不可斷行。名種名稱不可斷開。

(3)門牌號英美寫法可有不同,英語寫No.26美語可寫26#

(4)漢語的人名,地名一般寫漢語拼音。有些譯法可以不同:如中山東路,可以譯為ZhongshanEastRoad,也可譯為ZhongshanDongluRoad,但象一些地名,如南天門,槐南路,就應(yīng)該直寫拼音,而不能將其中某個字譯為英語。即:Nantianmeng,HuainanRoad而不是SouthTianmeng,HuaiSouthRoad.

名片翻譯

一.公司名稱翻譯近幾年來,針對我國公司名稱翻譯中出現(xiàn)的一些問題,不少有識之士相繼著文,辨是非、析原因、探正譯,為實現(xiàn)譯名的規(guī)范化和增強譯名的可讀性做了大量富有成效的工作。不過,筆者在研讀有關(guān)文獻時也發(fā)現(xiàn),部分文獻在對某些問題的看法上仍有偏頗甚至錯誤的地方,有再商榷并加以澄清的必要。(一)、以偏概全的問題

“公司”并非“不是company,就是corporation”《企業(yè)名稱的翻譯問題》一文認為:“‘公司’的英語名稱不是company(簡縮詞為Co.〕,就是corporation(簡縮同為Corp。)。”該文作者或許是為強調(diào)company與corporation乃“公司”的兩個首選對應(yīng)詞才這么說的,但這樣做畢竟有以偏概全和誤導讀者之賺。大家知道,在表示“公司”“及“企業(yè)”〕之義時,英文中除了使用company和corporation,也不時使用“公司’’廣義上的對應(yīng)詞,諸如firm,house,business,concern,combine,Partnership,con1plex,group,consortium,establishment,venture,conglomerate,multinational,transnational等。就是在專有公司名稱中,“公司”也決非只有company與corporation之說,lines,agency等也是名正言順的“公司”,有時甚至是前老所不能替代的“公司”。具體說。

1.line(s):(輪船、航空、航運等)公司。例如:AtlanticContainerLine大西洋集裝箱海運公司。HawaiianAirLines,夏威夷航空公司2.a(chǎn)gency:公司,代理行。例如:

此外,exchange,center等詞在特定的上下文中也可轉(zhuǎn)義表示“公司”。例如:AmericanManufacturersForeignCreditInsuranceExchange美國制造商出口信用保險公司

值得一提的是,不僅“公司”的表達法多種多樣,就是一些特定的公司往往也不止一種說法,例如,“聯(lián)合公司”除了associates之說,另外還有以下各靈活表達法。1.ConsolidatedcoalCompany聯(lián)合煤炭公司(美)2.UnitedAircraftCorporation聯(lián)合飛機公司(美)

(二)、輕言習慣的問題

--“保險公司”并非都叫‘insurancecompany’

《實用翻譯教程》一書中有這樣幾句話:“其次,特定的企業(yè)也會有自己用詞的習慣,久而久之便成了行規(guī),最典型的是`保險公司’,無論哪個國家,也無論規(guī)模大小,都叫“insurancecompany’”,(劉季春,1996:204)《教程》作者是在講述company與corporation的用法區(qū)別時說這段話的,其言外之意是說,“保險公司”的“公司”只能用company而不能使用corporation,因為習慣使然,但事實并非如此,筆茬在《英漢對外貿(mào)易詞典》第464和465兩頁上就見到了數(shù)家InsuranceCorporation。如:

ExportCreditInsl1ranceCorporation出口信貸保險公司(加〕由此看來,“保險公司’,之“公司”可以是company,也可以是corporation,還可以是exchange,據(jù)查,office與concern也可與Insurance連用而表示“保險公司”。值得注意的是,“保險公司”中的“保險”二字也不止insurance一說,有例為證。1.DevelopmentunderwritingLtd.開發(fā)保險公司(三)、似是而非的問題“office”非“支公司”《“總公司”的幾種常見英譯法》說:“在‘總公司’,‘分公司’或‘支公司’同時出現(xiàn)在一句中時,與‘總公司’(corporation)相對的只能是branch和office了。前者作‘分公司’解,后者作‘支公司’解”。(胡仲胤,1993:57)在我國,認為office就是天經(jīng)地義的‘支公司’的人或許不在少數(shù)。實踐中,“支公司”也確有譯作office的(e.g.中國絲綢進出口總公司廣東省分公司汕頭市支公司,ChinaNationalSilklmp.&Exp.Corp.GuangdongBranchShantouOffice)?捎腥さ氖,筆者在上千家英文公司名稱中竟未找到一家將corporation和office同用于口語并分別表示“總公司”和“支公司”的。自己因此猜想這是否意味著在公司名稱中漢英用詞習慣有別了或者我們對office-詞的理解有訛?帶著后一個問題,筆者查詢了部分英義工具書,總的看法是:office常作business解,有時也作concern和complex的同義詞。而business有這么一種定義,aperson,partnership,orcorporationengagedincommerce,manufacturing,oraservice(Webster‘sEncyclopediaUnabridgedDictionaryoftheEnglishLanguage,UpdatedRevisedDeluxeEdition,P.283),由此定義不難看出,office無疑可以指從事商業(yè)或生產(chǎn)的corporation。因此,主觀地把office與corporation對立起來的做法是欠妥的。其次,從以下幾個同組的搭配及所表達的內(nèi)涵中也不難得出office是“公司”而非“支公司”’的結(jié)論-h(huán)eadoffice:總公司;homeoffice:國內(nèi)總公司;branchoffice,分公司;insuranceoffice:保險公司。(四)、省譯的問題“實業(yè)”、“開發(fā)”等字眼并非可以隨意省譯

在漢英公司名稱中,“公司”有時可以省譯;在實踐中,“總公司”之“總”字也時有所省,另外,有的同志又主張省譯“實業(yè)”“開發(fā)”和“工貿(mào)”等字眼,因為“實在找不到可以表明“實業(yè)”的字眼”,但有哪一家銳意進取的公司不想開發(fā)新產(chǎn)品?“在英語中找不到合適的對等詞。”(丁振祺1989:37)筆者以為,在公司名稱的翻譯上,當省則省,能省才省,切忌動輒亂省,否則名將不“明”(即難以表明公司的規(guī)模、隸屬關(guān)系、經(jīng)營范圍、公司性質(zhì)等信息)。例如,如果可以將“珠海特區(qū)發(fā)展實業(yè)公司”中的“發(fā)展”、“實業(yè)”“公司”等字眼全部省去,‘`譯名”豈不成了“珠海特區(qū)”?!當然,“實業(yè)公司”“工貿(mào)公司”等究竟如何翻譯才既忠買又通順,倒值得進一步探討。比如,“實業(yè)公司”目前至少有五種譯文,其中間為佳譯或是否還有其它妙譯則有待定論和實踐的檢驗。1。太平洋實業(yè)公司PacificIndustries

--以“General”譯“總公司”之“總”并非“顯然不妥”

由于general可作“通用”“一般用途”解,譯界有的同志便認為,“顯然,用General表示‘總’字不妥”。筆者以為,用general表示"總”字不僅無可厚非,而且易與國際接軌。君不見,世界上不少著名公司就是使用general來表示其“龍頭”之義的嗎?例如:GeneralTransportCompany運輸總公司(英)

GeneralAmericanTransportationCorp.美國運輸總公司

CentralOiICompany石油總公司(美)

其實,general作“總”解在法語公司名稱中也可得到佐證,因為在法語總公司名稱中,除了用universelle和centrale表示“總”外,也經(jīng)常使用generale表達同一意思。例如。CompagnieGeneralelntercambi貿(mào)易總公司(意)

CompagnleGeneraiedeBrasserie啤酒總公司(法)

CompagnieGeneraledesMateriauxAtomiques棱燃料總公司(法)

公司名稱的翻譯頗為復雜。本文對現(xiàn)有相關(guān)文獻中某些觀點提出商榷意見,旨在疑義相與析;文章行文時輔以較多實例,意在以‘例”服人,但愿此二目的能有所實現(xiàn)。

英語中表示工廠的詞更多,現(xiàn)搜集如下:

factory指能成批生產(chǎn)成品或商品的地方或單位,用的最多。

plant多指重工業(yè)或軍事工企業(yè),也可指自動化、電子、冶煉和機械廠。

(machinery(plant)機械廠,machinetoolplant機床廠,power(plant)電廠)works多指有自己一套完整工序的輕化工廠、車輛、制造及鋼鐵廠等,工序常露天操作。(ironworks鋼鐵廠,glassworks玻璃廠)mill輕工業(yè)方面的廠,棉紡廠。

(cottonmill棉紡廠,textilemill紡織廠,papermill造紙廠,sawmill鋸木廠,steelmill鋼廠,coffeemill咖啡制粉廠)refinery精練、提煉、精制、冶煉廠、制糖廠。foundry翻砂廠,鑄工廠,玻璃廠,鑄造廠。

house通常前加一字首,用來表示較小的工廠或手工作坊,如啤酒、印刷。yard露天的工廠,作坊,常前加字首構(gòu)成復合詞。(shipyard造船廠)

studio攝影棚,制片廠,錄音棚及像館。

brewery啤酒廠,釀酒廠(生物發(fā)酵釀制)。

distillery酒廠,蒸餾廠,釀造廠(添加化學制劑、催化劑)。tannery制革廠,硝革廠,鞣革廠。bakery糕餅廠。printery印刷廠。cannery罐頭食品廠。filature繅絲廠。mine礦山廠。

manufacturer制造類廠。mint制幣廠。

商務(wù)報告功能多樣,種類繁多,且有不同的名稱。比如漢語中的總結(jié)、匯報等。英文中的報告也有多種別稱,如projectsummary、productanalysis、feasibilitystudy等,不過一般

統(tǒng)稱為Report。需要注意的是,建議書也是英文商務(wù)寫作中常見的一種文體,不過可以將其視為報告類文書之一,但它與其他報告相比有其自身的特點,因此在英文中常使用一個特定的名稱“Proposal”來界定這類文書。根據(jù)報告的書寫形式,商務(wù)報告可分為簡式報告和正式報告兩種。一般來說,內(nèi)容單一,篇幅較短的報告宜采用簡式報告形式;內(nèi)容較為詳細、論題較為重要、涉及面較廣、要求又比較嚴格的報告宜采用正式報告形式。根據(jù)報告的功能,商務(wù)報告可分為:日常報告、調(diào)查報告、可行性報告、建議報告和商務(wù)旅行報告。其中,應(yīng)用最廣的是日常報告、調(diào)查報告和可行性報告。

合同英語屬于莊重文體(thefrozenstyle),是各種英語文體中正式程度最高的一種?傮w來說,這種正式性體現(xiàn)在內(nèi)容的專業(yè)性、語言的嚴謹性和結(jié)構(gòu)的完整性等方面。分類與結(jié)構(gòu)

按照格式的繁簡程度的不同,國際商務(wù)合同可以采取正式合同(Contract)、協(xié)議書

(Agreement)、確認書(Confirmation)、備忘錄(Memorandum)、定單(Order)等書面形式。在合同簽訂和履行過程中,當事人之間往來的信函、電子郵件、電報等也是合同的組成部分,同樣具有一定的法律效力。但是,為了順利、準確無誤地完成合同的履行,保護當事人各方的合法權(quán)益,所有商業(yè)往來應(yīng)以合同、協(xié)議書和確認書的訂立為前提和基礎(chǔ)。

從結(jié)構(gòu)上看,國際商務(wù)合同一般包含如下四個部分,具體說明如下:(1)合同名稱(Title):即合同標題,表明合同的內(nèi)容和性質(zhì)。

(2)前文(Preamble):A.訂約日期和地點;B.合同當事人及其國籍、主營業(yè)所或住所;C.當事人合法依據(jù);D.訂約緣由/說明條款

(3)正文(MainBody):A.一般條款(GeneralTermsandConditions);B.特殊條款(OtherConditions)。

(4)結(jié)尾條款(WITNESSClause):A.結(jié)尾語;B.簽名(Signature);C.蓋印(Seal)。商務(wù)合同的主要內(nèi)容

合同的內(nèi)容由當事人約定;結(jié)合1999年中國《合同法》第12條的規(guī)定,合同的主要內(nèi)容一般包含以下條款:

一、用詞專業(yè),具有法律意味(professionalorlegal)1.根據(jù)不同的專業(yè)來確定詞義2.注意合同本身的術(shù)語

合同自身也有大量具有法律特性的合同術(shù)語。比如,“權(quán)利和義務(wù)”(rightsandobligations)、

“仲裁”(arbitration)、“終止”(termination)、“不可抗力”(forcemajeure)、“管轄”(jurisdiction)等。這些專業(yè)或法律術(shù)語的語義相對固定單一,通常無法用其他詞語代替,任何人在任何情況下都必須對它們作同一解釋。所以在翻譯的過程中,譯者要對這些詞語在一般文體中和法律文體中的意義進行區(qū)分。

3.注意一些以here、there或where等作前綴的副詞。

這些虛詞的使用使得句子簡練、嚴謹,從而顯示出該類語言正規(guī)、嚴肅、權(quán)威等文體特征。4.使用舊體詞(保持商務(wù)合同的莊重、嚴肅的文體風格)

5.注意may、shall、should、will、maynot、shallnot等詞語的法律內(nèi)涵

May、shall、should、will、maynot、shallnot等詞的確很常見,但是在合同中這些詞具有特殊的意義,所以翻譯起來要極其謹慎,避免引起糾紛。

a.May:在表示合同上的權(quán)利(Right)、權(quán)限(Power)或特權(quán)(Privilege)的場合中使用。若表示某種權(quán)利在法律上具有強制性的時候,更多的是“beentitled”。

b.Shall:在合同中并不是單純的將來時,一般用它來表示法律上可以強制執(zhí)行的義務(wù)(Obligation)。如未履行,即視為違約,并構(gòu)成某種賠償責任。所以,shall在譯文里,通常表示“應(yīng)該”或“必須”,當然,也有不翻譯的時候。例如:

c.Should:在合同中通常只用來表示語氣較弱的假設(shè),多翻譯成“萬一”或“如果”,極少譯成“應(yīng)該”。

d.Will:一般使用在沒有法律強制的情況下,也用做表示承擔義務(wù)的聲明,但語氣和強制力比Shall弱。

e.Maynot(或shallnot):用于禁止性義務(wù),即“不得做什么”。二、用詞正式、準確(formalandaccurate)
